This policy explains how nhst.in uses cookies and similar technologies, and how you can control them. We use only what the website needs, plus third-party content (videos and maps) that loads only if you allow it.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. They help the website remember things such as your language choice.
2. Cookies we set (essential — always on)
- PHPSESSID — keeps your session: remembers your language (Hindi/English), protects forms against misuse, and keeps staff signed in to the admin panel. Deleted when you close your browser.
- nhst_consent — remembers the cookie choice you made in our pop-up, so we don't ask again. Kept for 6 months.
These cookies are strictly necessary for the website to work, so they cannot be switched off. They contain no advertising or tracking information.
3. Third-party content (only with your consent)
If you choose “Accept all”, the website also loads content from Google, which may set its own cookies or use similar technologies and receive your IP address:
- YouTube — the background video on the home page and the videos in our gallery (served from the privacy-enhanced youtube-nocookie.com domain).
- Google Maps — the map on our Contact page.
If you choose “Essential only”, these are not loaded: the home page shows a photo instead of the video, and the map loads only if you click “Load map”. Google's use of data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
4. Other services
To display Hindi and English text correctly, pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address but does not set cookies. Video thumbnails in the gallery are loaded from YouTube's image server.
We do not use analytics, advertising or social-media tracking cookies.
5. Managing your choice
You can change your choice at any time using “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; if you block essential cookies, parts of the website (such as the language switch) may not work.
